Strengthening the Third Sector:

Building Out the Social Good Accelerator

Across The Bahamas, nonprofit organizations play a critical role in advancing education, health services, youth development, environmental protection, community resilience, and more. Yet many organizations have very limited access to training, funding, and strategic support, which limits their ability to drive change and fully serve their communities. The Social Good Accelerator (SGA) is already changing that.

Developed by OEF, this national initiative is designed to strengthen nonprofit leadership through shared learning, collaboration, governance training, and access to resources that help organizations scale their impact.

Rather than working in isolation, nonprofit leaders are now connecting across subsectors to build partnerships, collaborate, and share solutions.

Right now, across 70 Bahamas-based nonprofits, the SGA is supporting:

  • Executive leadership development
  • Nonprofit governance strengthening
  • Strategic planning capacity
  • Funding readiness
  • Peer-learning networks

By investing in nonprofit leadership, OEF is investing in the infrastructure of social change. We are committed to building a stronger Third Sector network across The Bahamas, one capable of addressing complex national challenges with coordination, collaboration and confidence.

Your gift empowers nonprofit leaders to build capacity and scale their organization’s impact. Together, we can support place-based community leaders, amplify their work, and invest in Third Sector development.
