Audrey Carey is a native of Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera where she currently resides.

She is a graduate of the College of the Bahamas and was afforded this opportunity thanks to a scholarship from The Cotton Bay Foundation.

Audrey was employed in the Hospitality Industry for over fifteen years. This included employment at local hotels on the island of Eleuthera and New Providence.

In 2015, she transitioned from the Eleuthera Arts & Cultural Center as Executive Director where she was responsible for its day-to-day operations.  This included sharing and promoting the Arts.

Her experience in the Hospitality Industry afforded her an opportunity to join the team of Island Journeys.  Island Journeys’ focus is on destination management to Eleuthera for persons interested in experiencing an alternative vacation as Eco, Educational, Volunteer or Cultural Tourists.

Audrey is now employed by One Eleuthera Foundation as Project Manager for the renovations of the Old Rock Sound Club, now the new Centre for Training and Innovation (CTI).  She is passionate about transforming people and places.  She believes that everyone deserves a second chance.

She is also a local Artisan who has a passion for transforming items from nature or waste materials into beautiful treasures such as jewelry, handbags, and home décor items.

Audrey is also a member of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera.

Her ultimate goal is to make her community and the Island of Eleuthera a better place to live.
