What We’re About
Bold Flavors, Big on Nutrition
With very few healthy dining options available locally, Farmer’s Table fills a void. It encourages patrons to transition to a body-nourishing diet made with wholesome foods and fresh ingredients. The dishes served tantalize the tastebuds with bold and flavorful influences from the Caribbean and around the world. Guests enjoy made-from-scratch meals including vegetarian options based on seasonal produce grown with care on our farm and sourced from neighboring farms.
Supporting Community Health
The Bahamas has a high incidence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disorders which can be reduced through dietary changes and exercise. Through Farmer’s Table, we hope to lead in changing this paradigm by increasing community education around healthy, balanced eating while providing access to healthier dining alternatives. Our menu is adapted regularly to reflect the seasonality and availability of nutritious, local ingredients.
Supporting Local Farmers
We support community farmers and other local food providers to help sustain their businesses and reinforce our commitment to building our island’s agriculture-based industries. As conscious consumers, we have a responsibility to nourish our bodies while considering the environmental impact of food production and distribution on our ecosystems and the planet. Local, farm-to-table dining experiences allow us to eat more nutrient-dense meals and learn about the food we eat while engaging with local chefs, farmers, and the community.
Thinking Globally, Acting Locally
By supporting local producers, we can reduce our dependence on food imports and mitigate the global impact of food distribution networks by first cultivating and eating what is available at home.
