Training of community contacts was carried out on Sunday, April 13th in Wemyss Bight. The women were updated on the basic facts about breast cancer and how to distribute such information according to Susan G. Komen statndards. At the end of the session, they were quizzed about the information they had received. Each lady seemed very clear on what their jobs are as OEF Community Contacts. All present re-committed themselves to serve as the ‘eyes’ and ‘ears’ of the One Eleuthera Foundation on matters relating to OEF and Cancer Society events and also on matters relating to women and children within their various communities. A certificate of completion was given to each participant.
Note: One Eleuthera COC position is funded by a grant from Susan G. Komen.
