On Tuesday February 10th, the teachers at P.A Gibson Primary School received important breast cancer information during their lunch break. The small staff of 9 female teachers were very engaged with the Outreach Coordinator throughout the presentation, asking questions and speaking candidly about breast cancer.

Based on the pre-survey taken by the women, there were quite a bit of facts learned and and myths debunked by end of the session.

They each pledged to pay closer attention to their bodies, act promptly on abnormalities, have regular mammograms and be more health conscious. Each left the session with a package of additional breast cancer literature and feeling confident that they could speak more intelligently on the topic.
