Our Staff

One Eleuthera's staff is comprised of nearly 95% Eleutherans and 100% Bahamians.We have boots on the ground almost every day throughout the communities of Eleuthera and live and experience much of what other Eleutherans face. Our range of backgrounds and experiences help us to better understand issues on the island and work with local people and organizations to find solutions that best fit our people. We are all passionate about what we do and seek to make great change on the island along with you.

OEF Intern Profile: Meet India Sands

Twenty-one-year-old native Eleutheran, Judy India Sands was a 2017 Summer Intern with the One Eleuthera Foundation (OEF). She was born and raised in North Palmetto Point, Eleuthera by her grandmother, Enid Cooper.

Eleuthera, Bahamas--On Saturday, August 12th, Eleuthera served as the second stop for Mr. Alfred Sears’ nationwide book tour. The book signing event which drew a moderate and, enthusiastic crowd was held on the picturesque patio of The South Eleuthera Mission.

A Shared Vision

The Shared Vision for South Eleuthera, which was first commissioned by Friends of Lighthouse Point to develop a sustainable plan for Lighthouse Point and other special heritage and conservation sites on Eleuthera, inspired the formation of One Eleuthera.
