History & Purpose
The Coastal Awareness Committee is a group of concerned citizens representing organizations and agencies from the private and public sectors whose vision is to see a change in attitude in the way coastal resources in The Bahamas are managed.
Activities:
The Coastal Awareness Committee has helped to organize a number of initiatives such as habour cleanups, traveling exhibits, and school competitions and also coordinates events every April, which is National Coastal Awareness Month in the Bahamas.
