How to apply?

Application can be accessed online at www.oneeleuthera.org/projects/CTI or through the Registrar Office, on campus.


What is the criteria to apply to CTI?

All are welcome to make application to CTI. Initial requirements include completion and submission of an application form, proof of citizenship (passport, voter’s card) and identification. Additional criteria depends on the program or course(s) of enrollment.


Is CTI an accredited institution and with who?

Yes, CTI is accredited with the National Accreditation & Equivalency Council of The Bahamas (NAECOB)


Is transportation available?

Transportation is currently not available.


Are there student jobs, work programs or apprenticeships available?

Our current Apprenticeship Program ends in June 2017. The next available Apprenticeship Program will be announced around that time.


Is CTI in partnership with other colleges/universities?

CTI is currently working with other institutions and will soon formalize partnerships.


Are credits transferable to COB/BTVI/BBC or other colleges?

Currently, this depends on the course of enrollment.


Are there dorms/living quarters? Where? Are males separated from females?

CTI currently has no dormitories. There are plans for these facilities in the future.


Is there security?



Is there a café on site?

There is currently no café on site. Plans are in place to establish on in early 2017.


Is there a library/computer lab?

CTI students are able to access library and computer lab facilities through our partner The South Eleuthera Mission, Queen’s Highway, Rock Sound, Eleuthera.


Are there discounts if taking more than 1 course?

Discounts are dependent on courses of enrollment. Members of One Eleuthera Foundation are eligible for discounts. Other discounts and course costs are available by contacting the Registrar’s Office at CTI.


Are there exchange programs with other colleges/universities in place?

Not currently, but there are plans for an exchange program in the future.


Is there a formal graduation ceremony?

Yes, there is a formal graduation ceremony.


What fees are associated with CTI?

Standard fees associated with CTI include application ($25.00), and registration ($25.00) fees. Other fees like course materials, kits, and lab fees are determined on a course by course basis.


What is your website address and phone number?

Our current web address is www.oneeleuthera.org/project/CTI and our phone number is 334-2700. We are currently developing a website for the convenience of our students.


Are there any clubs/extracurricular activities on any of the campus sites?

We currently do not have any clubs or extracurricular activities on campus. These are being developed for 2017. In the interim we encourage our students to join community clubs like Kiwanis, Rotary, Rotaract or other organizations with in their communities.



What courses are available for the upcoming semester and what are the durations and costs?

The upcoming semester runs from January 2017 to June 2017.

Note that an application fee of $25 and a registrations fee of $25 should be added to the course of choice to get the total course price. If you are enrolling in multiple courses these fees are only charged once and not per course.

Are there payment plans? Who qualifies?

Yes, payment plans are available. Contact CTI for more details.


Are there scholarships available? How to apply?

A scholarship program is currently being developed. We anticipate these being available for Fall 2017.


What are the criteria/pre-requisites for scholarship?

Criteria is dependent on the scholarship available. Email registrar@oneeleuthera.org for details.


What certificate is rewarded at the completion of each course?

CTI is accredited by NAECOB, therefore a nationally recognized course or program certificate will be awarded upon completion of any course or program offered.


Am I guaranteed a job with CTI/OEF at the end of each course?

Employment with CTI or OEF is not guaranteed.  Application has to be made for employment to either. However, CTI does work with local partners to assist our students with finding employment where possible. An upcoming part of our program will also assist students and the public with starting or expanding their own businesses.


What jobs do I qualify for after this course?

This is dependent on the course(s) completed.


Can I take a certification exam for a course without taking the course? If so, what’s the price?

We advise anyone seeking to take a certification exam, especially for the first time, to take the relevant course first to improve their chances of obtaining the certification. Currently, we do not offer certification exams, but can direct you to where you can take one.


Are there group rates for courses or partner discounts?

The members of One Eleuthera are eligible for discounts dependent on the course. No other discounts available at this time.


Are there tutoring programs outside of course hours?

Additional assistance for courses is available and determined by the instructor. Tutoring services may be available outside of course hours. Contact the Registrar’s Office for more information.

Development, for the past 40 plus years in the Bahamas at best has followed a “one size fits all” strategy.  At worst, successive governments have held a “hold the centre policy”. Which means let’s take care of New Providence, Grand Bahama and then whatever is left we will distribute throughout the other islands. This is not a bad policy for an archipelagic nation with limited resources.

CTI Trainee Profile: Meet Deangelo Pratt

Twenty-eight year old Waterford, Eleuthera resident, Deangelo Pratt is no ordinary trainee. He hasn’t had the greatest start in life but was eager, yet humbled to tell us just how much his life changed since enrolling in the programs at the Centre for Training and Innovation (CTI) just over one year ago.

 You have to hear about CTI trainee, Cercelia Thompson! The 31-year-old is a resident of Deep Creek, Eleuthera and says that coming to CTI gave her a second chance at life after being unemployed for four years! 

A Shared Vision

The Shared Vision for South Eleuthera, which was first commissioned by Friends of Lighthouse Point to develop a sustainable plan for Lighthouse Point and other special heritage and conservation sites on Eleuthera, inspired the formation of One Eleuthera.
